The DiMAGE Z6 uses a Minolta GT APO 12x Mega-zoom lens with a 35mm picture coverage of 35 - 420mm. The uttermost opening is f/2.8 - 4.5 also the lens is constructed of 13 elements grease 10 groups again includes two AD (anomalous dispersion) glass besides two aspheric elements. Multi-coating on lens surfaces ensures limited flaring also ghosting throughout its shoot up range. And, a five-blade aperture beautifully reproduces near-circular images of out of focus specular highlights.
